The Christmas holidays are coming and like every year it will be a struggle not to put on a few extra kilos. We at Limace, who love good food, hope you eat only the best things. But we recommend that you stay in good shape, because we want you toned and fit on our tours, very soon. Here are some tips.
During Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas lunch, too many restrictions should not be made, but it is wise to make small portions. If there are many courses, avoid nibbling bread, although eliminating it altogether would be even better.
Combine glasses of wine with water and finally balance the courses with portions of vegetables, both raw and cooked.
In the days following the holidays, fasting is strongly discouraged and should always be managed under medical supervision.
After the holidays, the advice is to eat a light meal regularly, both at lunch and dinner, favouring vegetables, perhaps raw at lunch and cooked at dinner. Drinking, throughout the day, as much water as necessary to purify and drain the body , is reccomended. At least one and a half liter.
After big lunches and dinners, it is good to do some exercise to stimulate the burdened gastrointestinal system. A 30-minute walk is sufficient. Walking, cycling or engaging in physical activity allows the excess calories introduced during meals to be burnt more quickly.
In the run-up to a Christmas lunch or dinner, the widespread practice of skipping the previous meal, such as breakfast, should also be avoided: one arrives at the main meal much hungrier and risks introducing many more calories than one would have done without skipping the previous meal.
