You arrive at San Fedele, a restored medieval monastery nestled among vineyards and cypress trees.

An authentic 12th-century monastery restored into a sanctuary of beauty, quiet, and Tuscan elegance.
For our retreat we will be hosted at Borgo San Fedele, a lovingly restored medieval monastery nestled among vineyards, olive groves, and the rolling hills of Chianti Classico. Once a spiritual refuge for traveling monks, today it is a serene and beautifully appointed retreat center reserved exclusively for our group. San Fedele blends historic charm, refined comfort, and an atmosphere of deep stillness, creating the perfect setting for personal renewal, creativity, and soulful connection.
The Monastery: A Place of Timeless Peace
San Fedele dates back to the 12th century and has been restored with great devotion, maintaining its original stone architecture, vaulted ceilings, and ancient cloisters. Every space feels infused with history, intention, and quiet elegance.
Inside you’ll find:
- 13 beautifully restored bedrooms (twin, double or single), each uniquely designed
- modern private bathrooms with traditional materials
- high ceilings, terracotta floors, historic beams
- windows overlooking vineyards, cypress groves, and endless Tuscan light
Because San Fedele operates exclusively for private groups, the entire monastery becomes our home for a week. Intimate, welcoming, peaceful: a true sanctuary.
The Common Spaces
The interior of San Fedele offers extraordinary spaces for gathering, reflecting, and simply being:
- San Fedele’s restored (deconsecrated) church: a sacred, atmospheric space perfect for meditation, sound work, journaling circles, and evening rituals that nourish the spirit.
- a cloistered courtyard perfect for unforgettable open-air dinners, outdoor activities but also quiet reading and morning coffee
- panoramic terraces with sweeping views of the hills
- a huge welcoming multifunctional hall, that serves as well as dining room (when dining outside is not adviseable because of weather conditions), where meals are shared family-style

The Grounds: Tuscany at Its Purest
San Fedele sits on a hillside with breathtaking 360-degree views of Chianti. The landscape feels untouched: soft lines of vineyards, olive trees silvering in the wind, distant hilltop villages glowing in the sunset.
The property includes:
- a large panoramic “infinity” swimming pool surrounded by lavender and rosemary
- shaded stone terraces for outdoor meals and sessions
- gardens and pathways for contemplative walks
- comfortable deck chairs and sitting areas for relaxation and journaling
- a tennis court.
At night, the silence is complete. In the mornings, only birdsong and soft sunlight.

Transport to the initial gathering point and from the final drop-off point to any additional destinations is not included.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included and is highly recommended. Participants are responsible for securing their own coverage to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and lost or delayed baggage.

After returning to the dance floor later in life and finding a sense of heaven on earth, she dedicated herself to helping women take the lead, rewrite old stories, reclaim their inner sparkle, and live lives filled with meaning and delight through movement, mindset, and soulful connection. A certified life coach and dance teacher for 19 years, Colleen specializes in guiding transformative experiences that awaken the body, uplift the spirit, and nourish the soul. This Italy retreat is her newest offering, and she is honored to help you find the magic within yourself while exploring the magic of Italy.
